JERRY BALDWIN CERAMICS

Shaped by Nature & Tradition

Jerry Baldwin creates wheel-thrown, functional ceramics and sculptural works that are deeply rooted in tradition and inspired by nature. Working in the Anagama wood firing tradition, his pieces emerge from the kiln bearing the unique textures, colors, and surfaces created by natural ash and flame over days-long firings.

From the rugged peaks of the Rocky Mountains to the windswept Utah deserts and the ever-changing ocean, Jerry’s inspiration comes from landscapes shaped by time, weather, and erosion. His work reflects these natural forces, offering both a tactile and visual connection to the world around us.

Where Clay Meets Flame, Ash, and Time

Every piece—whether a cup, bowl, or sculpture—invites a sense of connection: to the clay, to the firing process, to the people who gather around a shared table, and to the earth itself. Both functional and sculptural, his ceramics celebrate the balance of refinement and wabi-sabi imperfection.

Whether you’re holding a mug still warm from your morning coffee or admiring the shifting hues of a fired surface, Jerry’s work is meant to be lived with, touched, and appreciated for years to come.
